This is an offline-capable, no-frills Notepad which is a Progressive Web App as well.
The app serves the following features:
- Lets you write notes in plain text which are autosaved locally.
- Installable on supported browsers for offline usage.
- Dark mode.
- Writing timer.
- Privacy-focused — Never collect your precious data.
- Light-weight — Loads almost instantly.
- Focus mode to leave you with a barebones and pristine editor.
- Full-screen mode for a distraction-free writing experience.
- Optimal line length for better reading experience.
- Note Statistics and Snapshots.
- Ability to mimic typewriter (Hermes Precisa 305 model) sound when typing.
- Optional Break Reminders to gently suggest short breaks after long writing sessions.
- Supports monospaced and dyslexic fonts.
- Floating window (in supported browsers) to effectively take notes across other apps.
- Download notes as plain text, PDF, HTML, and DOCX.
- Ability to play ambient noise—coffee shop, rain, train, waves, fireside, etc.— in the background to help you stay focused.
